I do not think the drinking age should be lowered. The thinking that letting younger kids drink legally will cause less problems is pure stupidity. It will just cause kids that actually follow the laws to start drinking younger, causing even more problems. I say, raise the drinking age to 25 or higher, then maybe more people will wait until they're 21 to drink.

Aw, thanks :). Unfortunately I'm a very frustrated publishing gal right now. After all that time spent revising and printing out my chapters to Mirrorstone, I found out last night that they're no longer taking submissions for stand-alone novels and series fiction. Instead, they're only taking writers for series they already have :(. Arrgh!!! It's good I found out before I submitted to them, but they looked so promising. Oh, well, now it's on to revising my whole book to submit to Houghton Mifflin--unless they've changed their submission guidelines too.

I must say that I agree cats are very annoying--but I also love them :). Especially my Quiggley cat.  He's a brat cat, but he's also my precious baby.

If you don't find cats annoying, that's great, though! :)

Interesting theory. I was taught that the kinds of animals the Bible mentions weren't the species we have today. The groups were more encompassing. Like, from one pair of canines came all the wolves and coyotes and dogs we have today. Therefore, not as many animals--still a lot though. It's also possible that some of animals that hatched from eggs were brought on as eggs, and maybe some of the bigger animals were brought on as babies.

Also, there were at least eight people on the ark. There was Noah, his wife, their three sons, and their sons' wives.

I know. I get so tired of all the sex on TV as well. I accept that on most TV shows and in most movies the characters are going to have sex out of marriage. As long as it doesn't stray into adultery, I usually keep watching the show. But any show or movie (and they are rare) that actually promote the idea that sex is for married couples (to each other!) I absolutely love.

Ooh, and Swingtown looks like a terrible show. It does away with any sanctity of marriage and celebrates one of the worse sub-cultures to come out of the 1970s.

Also on TV, I've noticed that while abstinence for teenage girls is promoted at times, rarely is it promoted for teenage boys. The sexual revolution of the sixties supported women having premarital sex as much as men, but I say men should be called upon to abstain until marriage as much as women, something our current culture doesn't think much of :(. If a woman decides to wait until marriage, that's fine, but if a man does then there must be something wrong with him. It is so irritating.

Of course it's not wrong to want to remain abstinent until marriage. I'm sure if you look hard enough and pray hard enough, God will help you meet a guy with the same morals.

I don't know, Two Face seemed pretty dead to me. I think the fall was enough to kill him. On the other hand, he had the skin burned off half his face and was supposedly in excruating pain, and yet was walking around killing people, not to mention the fact he killed the driver of a moving car while still in the car and got out all right, so, heck, he could still be alive. I still think including him in the movie the way they did was a dumb idea.

I've actually only read the books once, so far, but eventually I plan to read them again (so many books, so little time). I do absolutely love Harry Potter. The first book is my second favorite book, period :). I think the movies do a good job of sticking close to the books, but since they do have to change things, they can never be good enough for me :). I still think the books are way better.

Oh, I don't know about the whole family. Little girls (around six) who have a tendency to get scared by things in movies, might get freaked out by the scene where the bad guy chooses the wrong cup :). I vaguely remember the movie, but I do recall being horribly frightened by that scene :). I tended to get scared a lot by movies when I was little.  I was even scared of the fight with Ursula at the end of The Little Mermaid.

I wasn't that impressed with the Batman movie, though I did think the Joker was great. I totally agree with you about "two face." He's a pretty major Batman villian, and ought to have been saved for another movie. He just felt tacked on to the end of this movie.

Welcome to Blogster! I looked at several blogging sites when I decided to start a blog, and Blogster was the one I liked best. Even with all the changes it's gone through since I arrived, I still think it's pretty good. I do wish they get back the feature that lets you pick your own background color scheme, though.
